A new "convertible" office seat has arrived on the market in November 2009 : B_Run by Austrian Bene.

his swivel chair is elegant, with a sober design stamped with aesthetic and functional simplicity -designer Justus Kolberg. The ambition of B_Run, with its wide variety of options, is to be a sitting instrument listening to its user. The integrated synchronous system allows a dynamic sitting position.

Following the requested comfort, the backrest is available in three versions: a mesh back, a padded back and a PP membrane back. Backrest anti-pressure can be set from 45 to 120 kg. There are four possible armrests variants: fixed armrests, “Loop" ring-shaped armrests, and multifunctional 2D or 3D armrests. A lumbar support, a tilt and seat depth adjustment, and a gas spring shock absorber provide a plus for sitting comfort. The 5 branches base is available with castors and in materials such as polyamide, die-cast aluminum or epoxy. Note the seat depth adjustment (optional): it extends the seat depth up to 50 mm from 420 to 470 mm in five notch positions, the seat tilt angle (optional): 4 ° forward. Another option: the lumbar support adjusting zone is 100 mm for a back mesh and 80 mm for a padded back..
